Projects and Funds
General information
The British Embassy in Havana funds small projects in Cuba. Projects should have a developmental objective and should be carried out local communities and/or organisations.
Project proposals submitted to the Embassy in Havana should be related to at least one of the following priority areas:
- Climate security;
- Sustainable development;
- Energy security;
- Solutions to community problems;
- Capacity building for organisations
Other comments
The Embassy has an annual budget and as such can fund projects for up to a maximum of one year. Each organisation can submit up to three project proposals. If more than one project proposal is submitted to the British Embassy in Havana, proposals should be accompanied by an order of priority.
Projects timetable
The projects timetable matches the British financial year, which runs from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.
- December/January: call for bids
- February: deadline for submitting projects
- March: Selection process and response to all organisations.
- April to March: execution of projects approved.
